At Clonlisk National School we have a Healthy Eating Policy and we encourage pupils to bring a healthy and nutritious lunch.

Green Schools
We participate in the Green Schools Programme which is an environmental management and education programme for schools. We, in Clonlisk N.S., are proud to be playing our part in working towards a sustainable future. To date, we have been awarded 5 Green Flags which include the following themes: Litter, Energy, Travel, Water, Travel & Biodiversity. We are currently working towards achieving our sixth flag, for the theme, Global Citizenship-Litter & Waste.
School Concerts
Our biennial school concerts are always a resounding success and highlight for pupils, staff, parents & the wider school community. Recent productions include 'The Wizard of Oz' and 'The Lion Cub'. Preparations were well underway for the school's next concert, 'Belle & the Beast' which was to take place on the 20th March 2020 in the Community Centre, Shinrone. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the concert had to be cancelled.
Quiz Teams
Our quiz teams have experienced plenty of success over the years, coming first at Credit Union and Regional Level on numerous occasions. Reaching the hotly contested All Ireland Credit Union School Quiz on three occasions, being the pinnacle of these successes.
Sports
As a thriving hub for all things sports related, Clonlisk N.S. attained 'Active School' status in 2015 & became one of the first 'GAA 5 Star Centres' in Offaly in 2019. Hurling, camogie, football, soccer, athletics, gymnastics, yoga, basketball and tennis are some of the activities catered for in our school. We've a rich tradition of success on the G.A.A. fields, winning a number of Cumann na mBunscol hurling, camogie & football finals over the years. Our school has had the honour of representing Leinster twice in the 'SPAR FAI Primary Schools 5s All Ireland Soccer Finals' which were held in the Aviva Stadium.
